A research group is estimating that property taxes are going up an
average of 4.2 percent statewide.

The Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance says school districts are raising
their taxes by an average of 6 percent statewide. Technical colleges
are raising them by 3.9 percent and counties are raising levies by 3.2
percent.

The group says complete data is not available for municipalities, but
is estimating a 3.2 percent hike.

The group warned that individual bills could be much higher or lower
than that depending on where they live.
