This year the library, located at 220 N. Helena St., has collected a selection of hand-decorated bottles and glasses, plus several items made from corks. Bidders can start to examine the upcycled items being auctioned in person, on the library’s website and Facebook page starting Friday, Sept. 9. The handmade decorations can be viewed and bid on in person during regular library hours between Sept. 12 and 21. Items can also be viewed and bid on after hours on Monday, Sept. 19, until 7:30 p.m. During this eight-day time period, interested parties can place bids in person or over the phone by calling 920-533-8534 during business hours. Bids can be placed at any time on Facebook. The status of the bids on the items will be updated throughout the auction on the Library’s Facebook page. This year the auction will come to a close with an ice cream sundae celebration from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, to place your final bids and/or to purchase an ice cream sundae by Kelley Country Creamery. Bidding will close at 7 p.m. on Sept. 21. Bidders do not need to be present to win. Those who placed the winning bids will be notified by phone on Thursday, Sept. 22. Items can be paid for with a check or cash. Donation receipts will be given on request. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to purchase books and movies for library users to borrow.
